We are the Northern California I-5 Wildlife Crossing Collaborative, one part of the Shasta-Trinity Wildlife Group - a coalition of wildlife advocates, engineers, hunters, conservationists, and public health officials that have joined forces with the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) to improve freeway safety and wildlife outcomes in Siskiyou County, near the California / Oregon border.
Our goal is to conserve wildlife and habitat in the Shasta-Trinity region, while decreasing traffic accidents, injuries, and fatalities.
